Our Curriculum

We serve a wide range of learners at LifePoint Preschool.  We know that children learn differently and need a variety of learning encounters.  Therefore, we do not utilize one specific curriculum.  Our teachers are able to integrate and incorporate numerous types of learning experiences so ALL learners can succeed.

Age Appropriate Education

Our curriculum is centered around monthly themes with hands-on activities in a center-based environment. For example, Frog Street Press provides a variety of curriculum fundamentals and classroom resources that are fun with age appropriate crafts and activities.

In addition, Handwriting Without Tears  was developed based on documented research of early literacy.  HWT is a complete curriculum that is developmentally based and inspires  active learning. Each month will have a math, literacy, art, social, emotional and spiritual focus for a well balanced approached to learning. Three and Four Year Old Teachers will formally assess students several times throughout the year to determine growth in each area.

Enrichment Classes

LifePoint Preschool offers several enrichment classes that allow students to expand their knowledge in Music, Science, Chapel and Movement. All ages will attend Music and Movement classes once a week lead by teachers specifically designing curriculum to be energetic and fun while fostering an appreciation for Music and keeping our bodies healthy.

Chapel and Science are also held once a week for 3 and 4 year olds. These students will be engaged in weekly Science experiments with hands on learning opportunities. Weekly Chapel is an opportunity to expand upon bible truths and memory verses beyond the classroom setting in one of our large theaters.

Bible Based Curriculum

LifePoint Preschool utilizes First Look Bible Curriculum throughout each day for all ages. Each week has a new Bible truth to explore. Simple bible truths are shared through storytelling, crafts, dramatic play or singing.

Loving Environment

LifePoint Preschool offers each family a safe and secure setting for age appropriate learning. All teachers pass a background check and complete First Aid & CPR classes. Teachers stay current in early childhood research and development. LifePoint Preschool was established in 2007 and has continued to welcome new families every year. LifePoint maintains low ratio student – teacher ratios so each child feels safe and loved while in our care.
